Get on the list, step by step
- Make sure your DIR public works registration is current. California requires it to bid public works. The district also asks contractors to sign up on DIR's new website so it can request a DIR project ID.
- Fill in the district's CUPCCAA online application (a Google form linked on its CUPCCAA Registration page). It asks for your license class and number, type of work, and DIR number and expiration date. CUPCCAA is the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act, the state's informal bidding rules.
- Re-register only when your DIR registration is expiring or your contact details change. The district posts the list online so you can check that you are on it.
- Register as a vendor on PlanetBids (planetbids.com, Oceanside Unified's portal) to download documents for its bids.
