How to bid with La Mesa-Spring Valley School District

$1 million and up, partly state-funded	General contractors (A, B) and M/E/P subcontractors must be prequalified.	Apply at least 10 business days before the bid opening. Approval lasts one calendar year.

The dollar limits come from a 2022 sheet ($60,000 / $200,000). State limits have gone up since; check with the district.

Get on the list, step by step

1. Make sure your DIR public works registration is current. California requires it to bid public works.
2. Submit the district's Contractor Registration Form to get on its Registered Contractors List. CUPCCAA is the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act, the state's informal bidding rules.
3. The only sign-up info linked on the page is a 2022 sheet. It says the list and prequalification run through Quality Bidders (qualitybidders.com). Call Purchasing to confirm this is still current.
4. For larger state-funded jobs, apply for prequalification at least 10 business days before the bid opening.
