Get on the list, step by step
- Make sure your DIR public works registration is current. California requires it to bid public works.
- Register on QualityBidders (qualitybidders.com) for the district's CUPCCAA contractor list. The district's Contractor Registration page links its CUPCCAA instructions.
- For projects over $1 million, primes and MEPs (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, C-46) apply for prequalification on QualityBidders. Applications must arrive 10 business days before the bid opening; approval lasts one calendar year. Applications are reviewed twice a week.
