Get on the list, step by step
- Make sure your DIR public works registration is current. California requires it to bid public works.
- Sign up for the district's CUPCCAA list on Quality Bidders (qualitybidders.com), the online tool the district uses. CUPCCAA is the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act, the state's informal bidding rules. Questions about the tool: qbsupport@colbitech.com.
- For jobs of $1 million and up, apply for prequalification on Quality Bidders at least 10 business days before the bid opening. Approval lasts one calendar year.
- Check the district's Public Bids page for formal bids and the link to each project's bid site.
