Get on the list, step by step
- Make sure your DIR public works registration is current. California requires it to bid public works.
- Register as a vendor on the City's PlanetBids portal (planetbids.com, portal 15382). The City posts a step-by-step sheet on its Construction Bid Opportunities page.
- In your PlanetBids profile, add every contractor license you hold (number and expiration date), any certifications such as DBE, and the NIGP work codes for what you do. The City needs your license classes and work categories to put you on the qualified bidders list.
