How jobs go out, by size

The page still says CUPCCAA jobs go "up to $200,000"; ask Purchasing which limit applies now.
Get on the list, step by step
- Make sure your DIR public works registration is current. California requires it to bid public works. The district notes the DIR fee is $400 a year, and you can register for one, two or three fiscal years.
- Apply for prequalification on PQBids (pqbids.com/carlsbad). Pick the CUPCCAA track (smaller jobs) or the AB 2031 track (larger jobs). Your package must arrive 10 business days before the bid deadline.
- Register on PlanetBids (Vendor Registration, portal 80752). You can view bids without registering, but you must register to take part.
- Watch the district's Bids & Requests for Proposal page, which lists current bids with documents and deadlines.
